In our relentless pursuit to offer the best clinical guidance in dentistry to our students, our institution introduced a novel comprehensive clinical training for the undergraduate students. What began as an experimental and path breaking venture in 2019 is reaping bountiful benefits for the students in terms of clinical exposure and enhancement of knowledge and skill. The benefit of this system has been well perceived by other academic institutions and universities alike.

iPads are a compact high-end device for efficient student learning. Our smart classrooms are equipped with smart boards which extend into each individual student’s iPad as well. The lectures presented by the staff are uploaded on the cloud based system and thus students have access to the notes and contents of the lecture. These lectures can be accessed at any time. Students who have missed out on lectures also have the opportunity to study from the notes and contents of the class. Pre-recorded video content enables our students to view contents prior to the class and that additionally help to minimize the duration of content delivery. The same can be used for revision prior to the examination as well.

Unique teaching – learning method.Monotony of an hour lecture is replaced with a new framework with lecture sessions of 20 minutes duration followed by an activity pertaining to the lecture . Small group teaching – learning environment brings individual attention to students. Creates an effective, enthusiastic learning environment. This unique lecture protocol interspersed with activities has proved to positively impact the cognitive skills of the students as well as enhance the retention ability of the topic dealt with.

Activity Based Learning Educational System (ABLE) is our innovative approach for ensuring that our students get the opportunity to experience academic excellence through meaningful learning and quality education. ABLE uplifts the blended mode of teaching learning system comprising of teacher centric and student centric teaching methodologies which is being practiced in the Institution. Our focus is on small group learning, imparting knowledge while giving our students much needed individual attention to support their individual learning needs.

The Department of Advanced Dental Science was formulated in the year 2014 by PMS College of Dental Science and Research to provide a learning window to aspiring undergraduate students, postgraduate students, delegates from other dental colleges and private practitioners. We also provide our patients with advanced dental treatments namely; Dental Implant Placement Implant Supported Overdenture Prostheses Full Mouth Rehabilitation Sinus Lift Surgery Bone Grafting Surgeries Laser Surgeries (Soft & Hard Tissue)
