PMS is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and accessible healthcare environment, especially for physically challenged and elderly patients. The institution has taken proactive measures to ensure comfort, mobility, and ease of access across its campus and facilities.To facilitate smooth transportation within the campus, a buggy service has been introduced, operating daily from 8:00 AM. This service transports patients from the college gate to the Outpatient (OP) registration area. The buggy is well-maintained, with periodic servicing carried out at regular intervals to ensure reliability and safety.PMS has implemented several disabled-friendly policies and infrastructural enhancements to cater to the unique needs of patients with physical limitations. These include strategically placed ramps, lift facilities, and specially designed toilets for differently-abled individuals. A dedicated Divyangjan Clinic has also been established, offering priority consultation services and equipped with a wheelchair-accessible dental chair to ensure convenient and dignified care.To further support individuals with visual impairments, screen reader technology has been installed across digital interfaces within the institution. In addition, the college has appointed a trained support staff member specifically to assist physically challenged patients throughout their visit, ensuring they receive prompt help whenever needed.Emergency and long-term medical support is also available through an on-call ambulance and a dedicated palliative care unit. The institution is fully equipped with stretchers, wheelchairs, and other mobility aids to enhance patient comfort and safety.By integrating thoughtful services and accessible infrastructure, PMS continues to lead as a model institution in providing compassionate, barrier-free healthcare. The commitment to inclusivity reflects the institution’s broader vision of healthcare equity, ensuring that every patient, regardless of their physical abilities, receives high-quality and respectful medical attention.
