The mouth is referred to as a mirror of overall health, reinforcing that oral health is an integral part of general health. Among the elderly, poor oral health is considered a risk factor for overall health problems. Our college has a fully functioning geriatric clinic for the dental care services to older patients involving diagnosis, prevention, management and treatment of problems associated with age related diseases. The clinic consists of specially designed dental chair where the patient can undergo dental procedures by sitting in their wheel chair itself.
