A major milestone was the acquisition of a DST-FIST grant of ₹1.04 crore, which enabled the setup of cutting-edge Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) facilities, significantly enhancing the genomic research capabilities.

An amount of Rs. 1.09 Crore Lakh for research funding from various government funding agencies like ICMR, KUHS & DST was sanctioned.
