Dr Ambili. R completed her BDS in 2001 and MDS in 2004 from Government Dental College, Trivandrum, and PhD in faculty of dentistry from the University of Kerala in 2018. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians, Glasgow, UK. She is working as Professor and Head of the Department of Periodontics, PMS College of Dental Science and Research, Trivandrum. She has more than 13 years of postgraduate teaching experience and currently guiding 6 PhD students at Kerala University of Health Sciences. Dr. Ambili completed a certificate program in research methodology and underwent an advanced training program in Biostatistics. She has published extensively in high-impact international journals and is a reviewer of many international journals. She had been invited to deliver guest lectures at various national and state-level programs. Dr Ambili is the recipient of many funded research projects from DST and ICMR. She has participated in many research works in collaboration with industries and prestigious research institutions like the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Regional Cancer Centre, and Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Science and Technology. She was instrumental in setting up a central research laboratory at PMS College of Dental Science and Research and in getting DSIR SIRO certification.
