Waste Disposal

Waste Disposal Facilities at PMS Dental College

At PMS Dental College, we are deeply committed to environmental sustainability and public health. Our institution has established a comprehensive waste management infrastructure to ensure that all forms of waste—biological, chemical, and electronic—are processed responsibly and efficiently in accordance with national safety standards and green protocols.

Our Waste Management Systems

The campus STP treats all domestic wastewater to ensure that only clean, treated water is discharged. Supporting our water conservation initiatives, this treated water is reclaimed and reused for landscaping and non-potable applications.

To protect ground and surface water sources, our ETP processes wastewater generated specifically from clinical areas and laboratories. The plant operates under a stringent monitoring system to maintain discharge quality within permissible limits.

Our on-campus biogas plant exemplifies our commitment to renewable energy by converting organic kitchen and biodegradable waste into usable cooking gas. This system reduces our carbon footprint and minimizes the volume of waste sent to landfills.

We maintain a structured system for the safe disposal of obsolete computers, dental equipment, and digital devices. In collaboration with authorized recyclers, we ensure proper segregation and periodic pickups for responsible recycling and data security.
